Google Analytics 4 vs Universal Analytics installs
Google analytics 4 has been out over a year now. Adoption has been really slow. I have seen very few installs compared to Universal Analytics.
I was on Twitter the other day and someone asked the question about adoption of GA4.
I sent the guy to the Builtwith site that tracks technology used on sites. According to their stats
GA4 has about 10% of the userbase of UA. There is a long way to go with adoption of GA4 then.
Universal Analytics has been out about 9 years and people still don't really know how to use it. They'll just look at the visitor graph and be happy if its up. If that's all you want to know, then UA is probably best for you. You may as well install GA4 but keep using UA. With adoption of GA4 so low, UA is not going to go away for years.
